A former Bordeaux wine estate turned into a naturist domaine, forty-five kilometres east of Bordeaux in the Entre-Deux-Mers. What remains are the maison de maître, the 18th-century chais and a 250-year-old dovecote, now converted into accommodation: three gîtes in the outbuildings, two rooms on the first floor of the château, a mobile home, two safari lodges and two cabanes perchées, tents raised on stilts with a table and fridge on the ground floor. The campsite proper has thirty very large pitches, from 150 to 250 square metres, twenty-six with electricity, served by toilet blocks set in the historic buildings with solar-heated hot water. The heart of the day is the eleven-by-eleven-metre pool in the park; there is also a sauna in the old walls, a pétanque pitch, a library and games. In the evening Vincent cooks fresh produce and serves Bordeaux wines in the small restaurant, open every day except Thursday, and once a week everyone dines together around the wood-fired oven on the lawn. Paul and Vincent have run the domaine since 2020, after seven years at the helm of a naturist hotel-restaurant on the Île du Levant. The house organises no noisy entertainment and openly states that it does not want children: it is a place designed for silence and rest. Nudity is mandatory in the pool and the toilet blocks, and elsewhere you may wear at most a sarong: swimsuits and shorts are not allowed. Pets are accepted on the pitches, not in all the accommodation. The season reopens at the end of April.
