Naturist (policy unspecified)

Family naturist campsite at the foot of the Canigou, in the Pyrénées-Orientales, about an hour's drive from a naturist beach on the Mediterranean. Founded in 1976 by Gilles and Monique Borrat, it turned fifty in 2026 and is run by the same family (Monique, her daughter Rachel with Mark, and her grandson Joan). It covers 62 hectares of mixed woodland crossed by streams, with waymarked naturist trails within the property. Swimming is in natural waters: a pond fed by the river with a waterfall, the "Paradis" pool in the stream and a new natural swimming pool filtered by plants, without chlorine. Facilities are simple: spacious pitches, mobile homes for rent, a shop with bread to order, a bar with terrace, table tennis and boules, free Wi-Fi; payment is by bank transfer, cheque or cash only. Pets are allowed on a lead, but not in the buildings, the pool or the pond. Two evenings a week there are communal dinners, and in summer the Saint John's Eve celebrations, the "cargolades" on 14 July and 15 August and the Rodella procession in Montbolo. Guests come from Catalonia, France, the Netherlands and many other countries. The access road is unpaved and motorhomes over 7.5 metres are accepted only by reservation. The most recent guests speak of peace, nature and the family's welcome.
