Camping and day-use area run by NATES, the Congregação Naturista do Estado do Espírito Santo, on the naturist stretch of Barra Seca beach, in the municipality of Linhares, in the north of the state: it is the only official naturist beach in Espírito Santo. You get there on a dirt road, which turns muddy in the rain, and then by crossing the river in the village boatmen's boats. The naturist section is about 200 metres long, with an often rough sea and coarse sand. On the dunes the association maintains a simple equipped area: water, electricity, showers (including hot), toilets for men and women, a kitchen, barbecue, space for hammocks and a covered area for hanging out and pitching tents. There are no kiosks or vendors: you have to bring your own food and drink, and the village offers few alternatives. A maintenance contribution is paid per person per day, lower for members on the campsite and free for them for day use (8 am to 5 pm). It is a spartan, isolated place, suited to those looking for an almost deserted beach and the company of the local naturist community, which returning visitors describe as very welcoming; anyone wanting facilities and restaurants will be disappointed. For rules of conduct the beach refers to the code of ethics of the Federação Brasileira de Naturismo.
