Naturism in France: laws and customs →
Nudity required

A family naturist campsite opened in 2003 by Christiane and Robert in the pays de Fayence, between Provence and the Côte d'Azur; since 2016 it has been run by their children Brice and Caroline, together with her husband Arnaud. Five hectares of Mediterranean woodland, oaks and pines, hold ninety-four pitches of eighty to a hundred square metres, all with electric hook-up and separated by vegetation to ensure some privacy; twenty-two are occupied by rental accommodation: chalets, cottages, gîtes, cosylodges and unusual options such as wooden barrels. The focal point of the day is the water area with two heated pools, the wooden deck and sun loungers under straw parasols; there is also the "Brasse...Rit" bar-restaurant with free wifi, à la carte regional specialities and, in July and August, an entertainment programme for the whole family with aquagym, yoga, tournaments, guided excursions and evenings with barbecues, concerts and karaoke. Rounding things off are the pétanque pitch, the outdoor shower, the motorhome service area and the trails that lead to Lake Saint-Cassien and the villages of the pays de Fayence. The rules require nudity whenever the weather allows and forbid intimate piercings and sexually suggestive clothing; solo travellers are accepted only with a valid naturist licence or if recommended by a recognised naturist club or association. The campsite is approved by the Fédération Française de Naturisme and gladly welcomes dogs.
