Naturist (policy unspecified)

A naturist campsite opened in 1983 by a family of Cantal livestock farmers, on a 350-hectare organic farm above the Truyère gorges, between the Aubrac plateau and the Cantal mountains. The eighty pitches spread over seven hectares of south-facing terraces overlooking the valley: shaded, spacious, with campfires allowed outside periods of drought. Those not travelling with a tent will find vintage-style "cabane" chalets built in the 1980s, grand confort chalets with a large panoramic terrace and equipped yurts. The campsite gives access to seventy naturist hectares running down to the river and to trails that cross the whole estate. In July and August a small restaurant serving the farm's organic meat and a grocery with fresh bread are open; the rest of the year you are self-sufficient. Pool with solarium, paddling pool, table tennis, free-access archery and a large communal yurt used for screenings and gatherings. Activities revolve around the farm and the river: kayaking on the Truyère, stream walking, horse riding, transhumance, bread and aligot workshops, nature workshops for children every afternoon, and on Wednesday evenings a barbecue around the fire with guitar and singing. Pets allowed. A deliberately rustic and isolated site, with a steep, unpaved access road that not all motorhomes handle well.
