A tiny, family-run naturist campsite in the Burgundy countryside near Bourbon-Lancy, run by a Dutch couple who live on site. There are 26 spacious pitches with electric hook-up around an old French farmhouse, plus two furnished safari tents with kitchen, fridge, oven and hammock. There is no entertainment programme or large facilities: a modern toilet block, a small pool, a bar with terrace and wifi, a pizza oven, boules and golf sets to borrow, bread to order and information on walking and cycling routes. Community life centres on the bar, where you sign up for the shared dinner on Mondays and Fridays, pizza on Wednesdays and the barbecue on Saturdays: several guests mention a strong sense of community, even for those arriving alone. Dogs are allowed for a small nightly supplement. The clientele is overwhelmingly Dutch — the campsite is affiliated with the NFN federation and its members get a discount — and this shows: several French guests complain of a cool welcome or language difficulties, while Dutch guests describe it as quiet and well kept. Other recurring remarks are the lack of shade, cars having to be left at the entrance and the toilets being far from some pitches; cleanliness, on the other hand, is consistently praised. It is a simple, peaceful base for exploring Burgundy: Bourbon-Lancy with its spa is a few kilometres away, and card payments are not accepted.
