Tuscany's first naturist farm campsite, in Piombino (Etruscan Coast, Val di Cornia), set among Mediterranean scrub and pine woods, 3 km from the Rimigliano naturist beach "Nido dell'Aquila". Six official types of accommodation: glamping lodges (large tents in wood and technical fabric, double bed + sofa bed, veranda with minibar, up to 4 guests), mini lodges (furnished canvas tents), maxi motorhome pitches (over 4 m, water/electricity/services), van/tent pitch (up to 4 m), tent pitch and tent space without electric hook-up. Communal area with barbecue, a shared kitchen under a thatched veranda (bring your own pots and crockery) and, next to reception, the fruit and vegetable stall of the family farm. The tent area is pedestrian-only, fibre WiFi reaches the lodges and communal areas, the entrance is under video surveillance and quiet is guaranteed from midnight; the website states explicitly that it is neither a hedonistic resort nor a swingers' club. Listed prices apply to holders of a naturist card; without a card you pay 10% more; dogs are accepted. Close to the Gulf of Baratti, Populonia, Suvereto, Campiglia Marittima and the ferries to Elba. Guests like the peace and the friendly atmosphere; recurring criticisms concern the cleanliness of the toilets and communal areas, little shade in the tent area, flies and mosquitoes.
